DESCRIPTIVE SCRIPT JALAPÃO EXPEDITION – 05 DAYS

FIRST DAY - Palmas / Taquaruçu

​

• We will pick you up from your hotel around 8am. We will start our itinerary with a relaxing day full of charms in the District of Palmas, Taquaruçu, a cozy and bucolic place, with hospitable people and full of waterfalls with cold and crystalline waters, the source of water in the state capital.

• We will visit the Ecological Farm and enjoy the beautiful Cachoeira das Araras (25m), maybe here we will have the opportunity to be guided by the docile labradors of the property.

• After lunch we will visit two more attractions, the Escorrega Macaco Waterfall (50m high) and the Roncadeira Waterfall (70m).

• Then we will watch the sunset in some special place. Dinner and overnight in the city.

• Optional: 1,200m zipline (R$100 per person) and 70m rappelling (R$100 per person). Check availability with the guide or your travel advisor

SECOND DAY - Taquaruçu / Ponte Alta

• We will depart towards Jalapão, with our first stop at Lagoa do Japonês, a place of rare and unique beauty, with its crystal clear waters and in shades of blue, with its rock formations for those who want to relax and enjoy the stunning natural beauty.

• We will have a typical meal for lunch on site at Dona Minervina.

• We will visit Morro da Cruz (stop for a photo).

• We will be honored to be able to enjoy the sunset at Pedra Furada, a huge sandstone boulder carved by wind and rain.

• Dinner and overnight in Ponte Alta.

THIRD DAY - Ponte Alta / Mateiros

• We will continue towards Mateiros.

• We will visit the Sussuapara Canyon and Cachoeira da Velha, the largest waterfall in Jalapão with approximately 100 meters wide in a horseshoe shape, next stop is the Rio Novo beach where we will have a picnic and enjoy a relaxing bath in the waters of the largest river with drinking water of Brazil.

• We will depart towards the Dunas do Jalapão, considered the only formation in the Cerrado, in this place the group will make a longer stop for photos and to enjoy a beautiful sunset.

• Arrival in Mateiros, where the group will spend an overnight stay, is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

• Check-in at the inn and then have dinner at a restaurant in town.

• Optional: Class IV Express Rafting on the Rio Sono (R$ 200 per person), which will be covered a distance of 1.5 KM on the river, lasting 1 hour, is suitable for anyone even with no experience with water activities and you don't need to know how to swim either. Check availability with the guide.

FOURTH DAY Mateiros - São Félix

• We will start the day early, with a trekking in the Serra do Espírito Santo, where we will be able to enjoy the sunrise in a breathtaking landscape.

• We will return to the inn for breakfast, then continue to the Formiga Waterfall, considered one of the most beautiful in Jalapão, with its emerald green waters that provide a relaxing and refreshing bath for the body. One of the most desirable and beautiful places for swimming, diving and floating.

• Then we'll leave for the place that most impresses tourists and researchers, a well of crystal clear water where it's impossible to sink and whoever bathes there has the distinct sensation of floating, the Fervedouro do Ceiça.

• We will have lunch at the Mumbuca Quilombola Community, cradle of golden grass, where we will have the opportunity to learn a lot about the local culture.

• We will also visit Fervedouro Buritizinho and/or Fervedouro Bela Vista and/or Fervedouro Encontro dos Rios and its little beach.

• Dinner and overnight in São Félix.

FIFTH DAY São Félix - Palmas

• We will depart towards Palmas, but first we will visit the Jalapão Ecolodge where it is possible to do various adventure activities such as buoy cross, two mountain bike trails, one of 4km and the other of 11km.

• The trails that can be done by bike can also be covered on foot.

• There is an option to simply relax in the Rio Soninho cove or enjoy the cerrado beaches on the banks of the same river.

• After lunch we will start our return to Palmas with a photo stop in front of Morro da Catedral.

• We will also take a break to admire the Morro Vermelho, considered one of the most impressive rock formations in Jalapão.

• Expected arrival in Palmas at 7:30 pm

• Optional: Buoy Cross - There are 2.5 km of descent, ending in Prainha do Buriti.

• The return will be walking along the access trail, ending at the Eco Lodge Headquarters.

• Uptime: 2 hours. (R$ 70 per person) Check availability with the guide.

• Optional: Jalapão Bike Park – There are two options of trails, one of 4 km and the other of 11 km. Activity time: 1 hour (R$ 80 per person) Check availability with the guide.

WHAT INCLUDES:

• Transport in a 4X4 vehicle with fuel;

• Guide accredited by the Ministry of Tourism;

• Accommodation in Jalapão in a double room with breakfast;

• Food at Jalapão (9 meals - lunch and dinner, except drinks);

• Trail snack (cereal bars, cookies, mix of nuts and/or dried fruit or similar);

• Visiting fees of attractions;

• Travel insurance.
