What is the period of the year when flights take place in Chapada dos Veadeiros?

Flights take place regularly in Chapada dos Veadeiros from January to June (more specifically until the 24th this year) and from the end of September to December. Due to weather conditions in this region, Ballooning in Chapada does not happen in the months of July, August and we return on September 24th.

What time do the flights take place?

The flights can take place in the first and last hours of sunshine of the day, thus avoiding the incidence of thermals (rising currents of hot air from the heating of the earth's surface), which would pose risks to the safety of the flight.

However, with the eight-passenger balloon, we first schedule the morning flight, only after this flight is complete that we make a second group for the afternoon flight.

For the exclusive flights balloon, we schedule any of the periods in advance.

The flight takes an hour on average.

What is the value of the flight in the 8 (eight) passenger balloon?

The cost of the flight is R$690.00 per person, children from 06 to 11 years old pay R$300.00.

What is the value of an Exclusive flight for 3 (three) passengers?

The cost of the flight is R$790.00 per person.

What is the cost of an Exclusive flight for 2 (two) passengers?

The cost of the flight is R$890.00 per person (R$1,780.00 for two people).

What is the total time of the operation from meeting to return?

Total operating time is approximately three hours.

What is the takeoff and landing location?

Both the take-off location and the landing location will only be known on the day of the flight, depending on the wind direction and speed at the time of the flight.

Pregnant women can fly on a balloon?

Unfortunately not.

What gas is used?

The gas used in the flight is propane.

What clothes to wear on the day of the flight?

It is recommended that long pants, shirt, sneakers and cap be worn. It is also recommended to wear a cold sweater, especially on morning flights, where the temperature is usually lower.

Can you smoke during the flight?

It is strictly forbidden to smoke during the flight and also near the balloon, before take-off and after landing.

If the weather conditions are not good, will you cancel the flight?

Obviously yes! Safety always comes first, if the pilot decides that conditions are not favorable the flight is canceled and we try to reschedule for the afternoon flight.

If the flight is canceled due to bad weather or not forming the minimum group, will you refund the money?

Of course, as said before, we try to reschedule the flight if everyone is in agreement, if we don't refund the amount already paid for the deposit.

Can electronic equipment be used during the flight?

Unlike flights on commercial aircraft, the use of electronic equipment during the flight is allowed.
